What is a Kids Care Pack?
Kids Care Packs are a way to keep kids connected and give them fun activities to complete during social distancing over the summer. The packs will be filled with art and craft supplies, games, activities, healthy snacks, toiletries and other necessities. Littles and their families are eligible for one of two packs based on age. Each pack gives a child something to look forward to, something to do and a sense of connection knowing that there are people who are looking out for them.
The Need
Over the past few months, many have struggled with interrupted schedules, home schooling, loss of income, uncertainty and social distancing. For children, disrupted routines and distance from friends, teachers, sports teams and clubs have been particularly heartbreaking. In ways large and small, the global pandemic has frayed and stretched the invisible thread between us all: connection to our families, to our friends, to our community.
Though it may not have been easy, the daily routine of virtual schooling gave our kids a schedule and tasks to accomplish. Many schools also provided healthy meals and technology to families in need. When school ends, so does that structure. Many children are left with no routine and little to look forward to for the summer. Even basic supplies like crayons, healthy snacks and toiletries are not a guarantee for many families. We wanted to do our part to change that. Our Kids Care Packs are a way to Keep Kids Connected and offer a ray of sunshine in these uncertain times.
How to Help
- For your donation of $25 a Little will receive a Kids' Care Pack filled with fun activities and items to keep them connected and engaged.
- For your donation of $50 a Little and a sibling will each receive a Kids' Care Pack filled with fun activities and items to keep them connected and engaged.
- For your donation of $100 a Little will receive a Kids' Care Pack and technology support.
