THINK BIG

Wanted

Thoughtful, Compassionate, Strategic Professionals to help lead our dynamic organization into the future.

We are privileged to have dedicated board members who are truly committed to the one-to-one mentoring services we provide, to matching more children with mentors, and to achieving BIG things here at BBBSNH. We are actively seeking volunteers to serve on our statewide board of directors, regional boards, and Young Philanthropists for Mentoring (YP4M) group.

State Board of Directors

Responsible for governance and helping to advance the mission of BBBSNH, state board members serve a three-year term. The state board establishes the agency vision and strategic planning, conducts financial planning and oversight, oversees development and program implementation, and advocates for the agency in communities throughout New Hampshire.

These dedicated leaders guide the overall direction of the agency and support our efforts to serve more Granite State children throughout the state.

Regional Boards and Committees

Since merging in 2015, our agency has engaged local movers and shakers in the communities we serve to support and advance the mission of BBBSNH and work directly with professional staff to promote youth mentoring.

Statewide committees focus on aspects of operation, including Communications & Marketing, Event Planning, Legal and Financial. Regional board members participate in local recruitment and fundraising activities, as well as stewardship and outreach. Currently, our structure includes three regional boards:

  • North Country
  • Lakes Region
  • West Region (Greater Keene, Monadnock Region and Sullivan County)

YP4M

Founded in our Greater Seacoast region in 2011, YP4M is designed to offer an opportunity for young professionals in their 20s & 30s to contribute their talents to Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire and promote a commitment of philanthropy among the next generation of professionals.

As an arm of the agency’s development initiatives, YP4M works in conjunction with Big Brothers Big Sisters staff to implement the agency’s Stiletto Sprint in Portsmouth, create opportunities to build
awareness of agency programs, and increase recruitment efforts. We are actively seeking to expand this group to our other regions of the state (Central and West).
